CC5G@MWC Barcelona: North Rhine-Westphalia as a 5G Pioneer Region

During June 28th – July 1st, the Competence Center 5G.NRW will participate in the yearly Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We have prepared four days of exciting events and would love to see you there!

The first day starts off right after the round table event at 13 o’clock with the online seminar „North Rhine-Westphalia as a 5G pioneer region“ (13:00 – 13:30):

What are the key features associated with the new generation of mobile communications? What does Competence Center 5G.NRW come from and what are its central missions? Which 5G activities are currenly taking place in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and what makes them so special? This talk marks the beginning of the series of events from CC5G at MWC and gives you an overview of the 5G state of the art in NRW.

Additionally, we have the opportunity to take a closer look at one of the highlight 5G projects from North Rhine-Westphalia – Giga for Health (13:30 – 14:30):

Switching closer at singular examples for NRW’s 5G innovation ecosystem, this event presents an insight into the unique project Giga for Health, which just started in May 2021. In the project, the University Hospital of Düsseldorf will be equipped by a 5G campus network, enabling innovative and life-saving solutions in medicine. But what might those solutions look like and how can 5G be used in the medical context? This will be presented by varoius speakers form the project team, featuring the University Hospital of Düsseldorf, Vodafone and Brainlab, who will present use cases from this context.

At the end, we have saved some time for open questions from the audience. You can expect following speakers:
